Auction sheet equipment codes explained

The equipment line on a Japanese auction sheet is a short list of factory marks — SR, NAVI, ETC, スマートキー. This guide explains the usual meanings. It is an informal glossary, not a certificate that an option is on the car.

Where the equipment line sits

Most Japanese auction sheets include a 純正装備品 (factory equipment) row near the model, chassis number and sales points. Inspectors tick or circle abbreviations. A seller’s brochure can list options the sheet never marked — that mismatch is a reason to retrieve the original record, not to argue from a photo.

Codes buyers ask about first

Paste a whole line into the equipment code decoder (English abbreviations or Japanese words). Unknown tokens stay unknown — that is safer than guessing.

Circled versus listed

Auction houses do not all print equipment the same way. A common pattern is: the form shows a menu of marks, and the inspector circles what is on that car. A WhatsApp crop that shows the menu but not the circles is easy to misread. SheetJP cannot certify a seller image; it can retrieve the source sheet by chassis number.
