When this helps

Use it if you already entered a complete Japanese frame number (code, dash, and serial — e.g. NZE141-6012345) and the instant lookup either found nothing or only weak matches we will not sell. That often happens with older imports, smaller auction houses, or a chassis the live file never indexed.

Do not use it for a short model code (NZE141), a 17-character VIN we cannot map, or a lookup that failed because the service was down. Those need the right chassis, a retry, or — if we already have a green match — the $10 instant report.

How it works

1. 1. Look up the chassis first

   Enter the full Japanese frame number (for example NZE141-6012345). If we can sell the $10 instant report, that is the right product — not this one.

2. 2. Pay $75 for a human search

   A specialist looks beyond the instant database. Results vary by model and age. You’re paying for the search — if we find a record, we put it on a private SheetJP page and email you the link.

3. 3. We search for 24–48 hours

   A team member looks beyond the instant database. Finds go on a private SheetJP report page — you get our link, not a vendor login.

4. 4. You get the record — or most of your money back

   If we find a sheet, photos, or another extract for this chassis, we email a private SheetJP link. If the search is blank, we refund 95% ($71.25 of $75.00; $3.75 kept).

What you get

When the archive has a history pack, we put it on a private SheetJP report page — title checks, inspection and odometer records, and the auction sheet. You get our link, not a vendor login.

The specialist emails the archive material unaltered — we do not rewrite grades or “clean” a damage map. That can be a full history pack, a sheet plus photos, a sheet without photos, photos without a full sheet, or a short extract (grade, kilometres, house, date) that still identifies this chassis.

A thinner packet is still a find. There is no refund because it is incomplete compared with a modern instant report. Only a blank search — or material we cannot honestly tie to your chassis — gets the 95% refund.

Price and refunds

List price is $75.00. If nothing is found we refund a fixed 95% of what Stripe charged — $71.25 back and $3.75 kept at list price, for card fees and the time spent looking. Promo codes: 95% applies to the amount you actually paid.

We do not refund a delivered record, including a partial one. A typo you typed is not a “not found” refund (we may re-run once on a corrected complete frame). Change of mind after the search is queued is not refunded. If we decline the search before work starts, you get a full refund. Full text: refund policy.

We do not publish a success rate. Odds depend on the model, the age of the car, and whether it was ever auctioned in Japan. Paying $75 buys the search — it does not raise the odds by slogan. Older imports: missing records on older cars.
